About Abigale and Auburn

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: Golden/Chestnut
  • Housetrained: Yes
They were brought into Animal Care and Control by the police after they were found in a supply closet by a maintenance man. This bonded pair clung to each other as they awaited their fate during intake in a cold shelter. Princess didn’t want to leave Auburns side and cried when she was away from her for even a minute. Sadly, these girls were separated and Auburn was later slated to die. Auburn who is only 4 years, was about to become yet another statistic because of her breed and an overcrowded shelter. Thankfully, the love these two beauties share for one another and life was seen and felt by S.A.V.E and Road to Home Rescue Support .They knew it wasn't their time and that they deserved to live a long, happy and healthy life together .

Although they have been pulled from the ACC, they are not out of the woods yet. While In a VERY temporary foster home these two girls have reunited with love, and are waiting to heal from kennel cough and pneumonia. We do believe Auburn is deaf and that Princess takes care of her. Imagine how terrified she must have been and grateful that Princess was by her side to guide and comfort her. These girls have escaped death and have been each other's saving grace . We cannot separate them as we fear their bond is so strong that they will become severely depressed.

From their Foster:
Finally reunited they are soul sisters who truly look out for one another. The Bond between these two girls is so strong, that they refuse to be away from one another and even sleep together in the same crate at night. Princess is always looking to act like a lady for a treat and is quite smart. She is shy and full of love. She is timid around doors and people she doesn't know yet, but truly just wants to snuggle with you on the couch. She is very affectionate and her most favorite thing to do and truly her "job" is to watch out for her *sister* Auburn. She often sits guard making sure she comes inside from the yard and confirms that she finishes all of her food. Auburn is warming up each day. She loves to go outside and gets so excited when she sees the leash. She is an outgoing love bug who loves to play. She has a strong will and you can see the determination to survive in her beautiful eyes. These girls are already eating treats our of their foster mommy's mouth, giving kisses to the moon and back, playing perfectly with the human children in the home, appear eager to play with other dogs, and always ready to give their love! These beautiful girls snuggle at night, play like puppies and love unconditionally. Please find a place in your heart to share your lives with them. I can promise you, that you will not regret these gals!

PLEASE let’s come together and find these sweet angels their forever home. If you are able to open your heart to them, please contact S.A.V.E and Road to Home Rescue Support at inforoadtohome@gmail.com They do not have much time left in their temporary foster home so need to be out soon.
