  Donation Information

"Please Help Us Help Them!"

Our main focus is to help the Toms River Township Animal Shelter animals and local animals in need when possible. Our goal is to assure every animal adopted out is healthy and happy.

Since The Toms River Shelter is a municipally owned facility, funds and space are very limited and therefore, we formed S.A.V.E. S.A.V.E. assists with medical care, vaccinations, testing and altering to make sure all the animal's are well taken care of and to avoid future medical problems and unwanted litters.  If an adoptable animal is in need of extensive medical care the Shelter can call us at any time and we will contact our Vets (who are very kind to us) and if funds are available,  we will go ahead with whatever care is neccesary to make this animal adoptable. If the animal is in need os supportive care afterwards S.A.V.E. will place them in a foster home (if available) for round the clock care. Therefore as you can see, we are always in need of monetary donations and the donation of a fosters time, to get these wonderful forgiving animals another chance at life.

Even though all the animals adopted from S.A.V.E. (that are age appropriate) are spayed/neutered before adoption, the animals at the Toms River Shelter may not be, but they like us, are included in the State Spay Program. With the State Spay Program, slots are limited and ran quarterly. Because of this, many animals fall between the cracks and that is when S.A.V.E steps in and makes sure they too are taken care of. This can be very costly and with the constant need, can be overwhelming.

For any reason the shelter may need us, be it may with medical care, fostering or even supplies, the Toms River Shelter can always count on us to help. Therefore, we need your help.
