Once AGAIN I would love to thank the ladies at S.A.V.E.! My family and I came to the decision that our current kitty Penny (also a S.A.V.E. adoption from January 2012) needed a playmate and feline friend. I saw this tiny group of furry kittens all huddled up asleep at the Brick PetSmart and thought we could check it out the next day. All 5 of these kittens were just BEAUTIFUL and so so sweet and energetic. Mom and I fell in love with Kayla out of all 5 kitties we saw. We brought her home the other night, renamed her Callie and she is currently enjoying all of the love, attention and toys she is getting from us. Penny is still adjusting as expected, so until they're ready to play together, Callie and Penny are separated but they play with a stuffed mouse under the door from time to time. Soon enough we'll have 2 kitties running around. Thank you thank you thank you everyone at S.A.V.E.!!!!!!!

Hi Joan, Tara, and everyone at SAVE. I just wanted to let you know that Delilah (now renamed Rainbow) is doing great since we adopted her in August. She adjusted to her new home right away, enjoying all the sunny spots to lay in and the big screened in porch, all the toys, and her new family. She is always near us whatever room we're in! Our son loves her and she has made fast friends with our yellow lab, Cody, who is a big time cat lover dog! Our other cat, Oreo, is not her biggest fan but they have been spotted playing together lately. She's very playful but has calmed down lately as she approaches her first birthday. We love her! Thanks for all your hard work helping these wonderful animals!

I wanted to start off by saying thank you very much to S.A.V.E.! I was in the Brick PetSmart looking at cats after a not so nice woman at my local shelter made me feel like my concerns/questions were not important. My parents said I could adopt a kitten as a Christmas gift, so after feeling down, my mother and I were in PetSmart just checking cats out on New Years day. All of the cats were beautiful in their own way and we were enjoying seeing them all when I spotted this teeny tiny kitten hiding in the corner of the litter pan sleeping. I was able to hold Maxine and she was just the softest little kitten, her demeanor was exactly what I was looking for and she was just beautiful. I applied for adoption and was approved, so I went shopping and bought all kinds of toys and things for her. Two days later I brought Penny, as she is now named, home to us and couldn't be happier. She was very shy at first and is still shy but she loves to be pet, plays with ALL of her toys with boundless energy and even makes this cute chirping noise as she's running and jumping around. I couldn't ask for a better gift than this kitten, she is wonderful and I love her so much in such a short time. Thank you for doing all that you do, you are all really very special people to help these animals and show them that they deserve a second chance and not all humans are bad. From the bottom of my heart, and my family's hearts, thank you for our new family member, we love her so very much.

We adopted Sach & Slip (formally Spooky) together right before Christmas. They are the nicest boys and are so well behaved! We love to sit and watch them play. We would highly recommend adopting from S.A.V.E. Also, adopting the two together worked out great. They had each other, so it wasn't so scary for them moving to a new place. It was actually easier than adopting one! Thanks for everything!

Hello everyone. I wanted to say hi and give u an update on Kiki and Preston whom I adopted back in September. They both got a clean bill of health from the doctors and are doing great. Kiki who is now Bella is very laid back and enjoys sitting on the back of our couch watching the squirrels, birds and neighbors as they pass by. She was shy and reserved at first but now shows remarkable progress with coming out of her shell. She loves her scratching post and kitty house as well as sleeping on our pillows at night. Preston is a VERY energetic kitty. He runs around as much as he can tolerate than plops down on the bed for a head scratching. He is best friends with our bunny and they enjoy playing together. He likes catnip and little toy mouses and rattle balls. He however does not enjoy sleeping with us. He would much rather sleep on the couch spread out as much as he can. All in all both are doing extremely well and I will keep you update...

Hello to everyone at S.A.V.E My family and I adopted Adam and Niles almost 2 years ago. They are doing fantastic. They have grown so much and have really become a great part of our family. Niles has even made progress none of us expected. As cuddly as he was with me, he now curls up with the children and loves to sit in their laps and be petted. Adam loves to play with the kids and chases them around the house before snuggling up on his window perch to nap. I am so grateful you gave us the opportunity to have them in our family. Keep doing the fantastic work you do. And to anyone who may be reading this considering adoption... This is the place to go the staff is helpful and wonderful.

I adopted a ferral kitten last year. He has been fixed and given all his shots and has become just like a regular house cat! Ferrals can be great pets with time and patience.

All feral cats are beautiful I do what I can . I wish they were more trusting so they could be held but cats are smarter than us. they sense the problems that humans create .

Just want you all to know at the S.A.V.E. in Toms River that Tommy, the orange and white cat we adopted is doing fabulous! He has adapted well to our family along with our 3 other cats and dog! He is doing the things kittens are suppose to be doing, and running around so playfully! He has come a long way in less than a month, although he can still be a bit skittish, I know in time he will be fully relaxed! Thank you for allowing us to adopt him into our family!

I just read about you in the Asbury Park Press. I can only send a small donation but I hope that many people that read the article will also send in what they can to assist you. You do so much for the animals; you are definitely a beacon of light in this terrible, cruel world. Thank you!

Hello All! My name is Laura. My husband John and I adopted Brownie 7 Years ago! It seams like yesterday!I also used to volunteer at the shelter before I had my twins. I hope that all of you ladies are well. Brownie is doing GREAT she is the best dog ever. We just love her so much, you couldn't ask for any better dog. We are so lucky that we found her. She is about 10 years old now. She is all gray in her face, and her beautiful brindle color has faded, she has slowed down a little bit but she is very healthy she just went for her check up at the vet. She is doing really good. I just wanted to say "Hi" and thankyou all for being so wonderful!! :o) ~Laura

My family and I had to surrender our beautiful boy, Max. Max is a gorgeous collie mix and just about the sweetest dog ever. We had rented a home for 9 years and the owner decided to sell. We were devastated to say the least. We tried to move heaven and earth to find a home for our dog. After some failed attempts, we had to bring him to the shelter. Several people saw my web page and called inquiring about him even weeks after we gave him up. Every day my husband and I checked your website, and called to check on his status. On Good Friday, we checked your website and saw that our sweet boy was adopted! My daughter and I wept. We are so thrilled for him and want to thank you all for helping him find his forever home. Although I dont know anything about his new home, I wanted to reach out and thank you all for your dedication. We can sleep at night knowing he's being loved. I thought you would appreciate some feedback from the standpoint of a family that had to relinquish their pet, as apposed to finding one. God bless you all! We thank you, and Max thanks you. We love you Max!

I adopted Smokie about 4 weeks ago from S.A.V.E. After about 2 weeks of not feeling so well, Smokie is not right at home and doing well. Joanie and Michelle were wonderful in helping me with the vet visits as well as some of my cat health questions. Smokie is def a wonderful fit for my home! Thank you!

We adopted Rusty and Frosty in October, 2004. We started out by adopting Rusty as a kitten, but when we got her home that Saturday afternoon, and we told the family of our new addition....and the fact that we had such a hard time choosing between her and another kitten in the crate with her. We decided that we needed to adopt the other kitten also. I called only to find out that the other kitten was adopted the previous day. But....then a miracle happened, we received a phone call from SAVE that the other family had allergies and had to return the kitten. A few hours later they were reunited and thus Rusty and Frosty were together again. Looking back, it was a true miracle....that we were blessed to have these two to add to our menagerie. Their antics, and awesome personalities are just amazing, bringing life and energy to our home. The Myatt Family

Dear S.A.V.E: I want to tell you how happy we are with our newly adopted cat, Shelly!(formerly "Little Kitty"). I would like to thank Diane for calling me immediately upon receiving Shelly, noting that she was EVERYTHING we were looking for in a cat on our application, which is very hard to find. We wanted a front declaw, fixed, 2-6 year old, good with dogs and with kids. Shelly was exactly that! Within 2 days of her being given up for adoption, she is now part of our family. I never imagined being so happy, having a cat that headbutts, and rubs, and purrs and even started nestling up into our chest and neck to sleep with us the very first night! She is even coming up to our Golden Retriever, which started out with minor hissing, but is now a cute little "meow" as she passes him. Diane's follow up calls to see how Shelly is adjusting shows your agency's true dedication to these helpless animals. Thank you for all you do, God Bless....from the Kovalewich Family and S helly, Point Pleasant, NJ.
