Thank you for your interest in adopting a pet from S.A.V.E. The adoption process may take several days to a week to complete. Applying for a pet does not guarantee approval, adoption or hold an animal. Decisions are made in the best interest of the animal and persons involved and is not based on a first come first serve basis. There are several stages of an adoption that need to be completed for approval. All references must be verified, a meet and greet with children and/or other pets from home, and a home visit done. S.A.V.E. reserves the right to refuse an application for any reason we see fit. If S.A.V.E. finds that any information given on the application is false or if you do not following the guidelines as stated on adoption paperwork, S.A.V.E. reserves the right to reclaim the foresaid animal. A valid New Jersey drivers license or other legal photo identification will be required at time of adoption.
